세례 성사

2014년 성탄절 전야제인 12월 24일 성 바울로 성당에 있는 성 요한 흐리소스톰 소성당에서 세례성사가 이루어졌다. 예배신자 김애경양은 정교회 신자가 되기위해 지난 1년간 주기적으로 성당 예배에 참여하며 기초교리를 배웠다. 먼저 투병중이셨던 어머니 넥타리아를 정교회로 인도하여 세례를 받고 주님의 품안에 안식할 수 있도록 모든 정성을 쏱았다. 남편 다비드의 정교회 영성생활에 많은 감화를 받았다. 김 양은 알렉산드라 성인의 이름으로 세례와 견진성사를 받고 주님의 탄생축일에 정교인이 되었다. 앞으로 대모인 엘레나와 모든 교우들의 도움과 지도로 교회생활에서 주님의 풍성한 축복속에 복된 나날을 보내게 되길 기원한다. It is a joy and blessing to all of us to witness of the illumination of our catechumen, Alexandra, thru the Rites of Baptism and of Chrismation on the Eve of Christmas. Alexandra has been preparing for her becoming Orthodox Christian with the assistance of her husband, David, for one year. Before Alexandra was received in the Orthodoxy she and David introduced their mother to the Orthodoxy in time of her mother's illness. She agreed with them to accept the Orthodoxy and baptized at her hospital bed with the name of Saint Nectarios. With the blessing of our Lord, Nectaria reposed in the hospital after her first Holy Communion. May her memory be eternal.
