His All Holiness in Korea from 21st June through 27th June 2005

On the occasion of 50 years (1955~2005)of Pastoralship under the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea has organized various festivities at which His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will preside. This Visit of H.A.H. to Korea will be His Third Time since 1995.

Thursday June 23rd           

08:45:  Visit of His All Holiness to St. Nicholas Cathedral.

09:00:  Doxology, H.A.H. the Ecumenical Patriarch officiating.
10:00:  Meeting of H.A.H. with Metropolitan Committee and

  representatives of  Parish Councils.

Presentation of the approved Constitution of the
             Metropolis and of the Philanthropic Organization.
12:00:  Lunch in honor of  H.A.H.

   Invitees: Representatives of Korean Churches.

Korean Minister of Culture, Mayor of Seoul,

   Ambassadors of Orthodox Nations, the USA, Turkey,

   Germany, Nuncio, and others.

  Representatives of Orthodox Parishes in Korea.
17:00:  Lecture by H.A.H. at Hankuk University of Foreign                                                     Studies where the Department of Greek and Balkan                                       Studies  is currently running.

   Honorary Doctorate Degree to be awarded to H.A.H
              by the University Faculty. Dinner
Friday June 24th:  Birth of St. John the Baptist.
08:00:  Matins-Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Church Seoul.
10:00:  Breakfast at the Metropolis.
10:10: Meeting of H.A.H. with the Minister of Culture & Tourism.
11:00:  Meeting of H.A.H. with the President of Korea.
18:00:  Blessing of the "ORTHODOX CENTER FOR SOCIAL                                                      WELFARE", by H.A.H. the Ecumenical Patriarch.
Saturday June 25th
18:30:  Visit to St. Dionysios Church  Ulsan.

  Preparation  of Holy Relics.

   Service of Vespers and Matins.
Sunday June 26th
09:00:  Consecration Service of St. Dionysios church.

   Patriarchal Divine Liturgy.
