A Tragic Fire at St. Paul Orthodox Church in Incheon

While we are celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord from the Death in Bright Week, His Eminence Sotirios of Korea, the members of six local Orthodox parishes in Korea, and especially the community of St. Paul Orthodox Church in Incheon, experienced such painful moments at the time of learning of the tragic fire accident that caught the office building of St. Paul Orthodox Church in Incheon, early in the morning at 1: 30 am on Saturday 7th May 2005. The second floor of the building (18 pyung) or (8m x 7m) which was built in 1987, has been destroyed entirely by the fire. The officer, Segt. Dong Gun Kim, of the Nam-Dong Gu District Police Department, officially announced that the fire was set up by an intruder who broke the glass door of the building to steal and found no valuables in the building. The Police Officer is still investigating the accident.

We need your prayers and support for the recovery of the community of St. Paul Orthodox Church from their difficult and desperate situation.
